Never regard study as a duty but as an enviable opportunity to learn to know the liberating influence of beauty in the realm of the spirit for your own personal joy and to the profit of the community to which your later works belong.

Novel Coronavirus Outbreak

Dear Parents,

As I’m sure most of you are aware, Chinese authorities identified a cluster of novel coronavirus 2019-nCoV infections in Wuhan City, China, in late December. We are tracking this situation closely and have consulted with Healix, our risk management partner, which is currently advising an increased level of caution when traveling to or from any part of China. The Chinese government initially advised against traveling to and from the Wuhan region before taking the further step of placing the city under lockdown on Thursday.

This is a developing situation, so we strongly recommend that any students or families planning to travel to China for the upcoming New Year celebrations seek the latest travel advice before doing so. Please refer to this Rapid Risk Assessment from the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control for more information.

Winter Art Exhibition Opens Today

We welcome you to join us at the Winter Art Exhibition, which opens in the Palmer Center today at 16:00 and will also be open all day Saturday and Sunday.

The Winter Art Exhibition is primarily a photographic exhibition with participation from some IB Visual Arts students. It is both a showcase of work completed in photography classes and a first opportunity for advanced students to curate an exhibition of their own work. The feedback students receive from the exhibition not only helps them to refine their future work but also allows them to celebrate their accomplishments with the school community. We hope to see you there!

TPA Used Uniform Sale This Afternoon

Have you noticed that upon returning from the Holiday break, your child has outgrown everything? Why spend more money buying new winter uniform items that will not last until next year? Instead stop by our Used Uniform Sale in the Palmer Center lobby this afternoon from 14:30–17:30 to pick up all the transitional pieces you need! Buying pre-owned clothing is eco-friendly, and this recycling system helps everyone in the community!

Students may continue to receive “reminders” to have midyear transcripts sent during the next two to three weeks as schools process the large number of documents received at this time of year. Such notices are not a cause for concern at this time, but we are always happy to answer any questions regarding the status of any application.
