MS Assemblies and Advisor Meetings This Week

On Tuesday, the MS has a special assembly with guest speaker Ollie Rasini ’99. Ms. Rasini found her passion for theater while studying at TASIS from grades 7–12. Now based in Bologna, she regularly performs on stage—a combination of improvisational and scripted theater—teaches improv classes for adults, and runs educational Shakespeare programs for schools. She also represented TASIS at Expo Milano 2015.

At her presentation, Ms. Rasini discussed how her time at TASIS gave rise to her love for theater—in spite of her natural shyness—told a number of funny stories about her theater experiences at TASIS, encouraged students to take on the challenge of trying theater, guided six student volunteers through a hilarious improv game, and answered questions from students and faculty members.

In the clip below, Middle School Theater Director Matthew Frazier-Smith, who will soon be gearing up for the always-popular Middle School Spring Musical, asks Ms. Rasini if she has advice for students who are disappointed when they don’t get the part they most desire.

On Wednesday, November 21, we held the MS Fall Cultural Assembly. Many MS students sang or played an instrument. Congratulations to those who participated:
