TASIS kicked off International Week 2020 on the morning of February 10 with a lively Opening Ceremony that included the Parade of Flags, the presentation of Torch Awards, an IB Theatre presentation, and several outstanding music and dance performances. 2018 Excellence in Science Award recipient Anastasia Kolesnikova '18 (Russia) will pursue a degree in Biochemistry at Imperial College London, choosing the world-class university over University of St Andrews, University of York, and University of Birmingham.

Two faculty leaders and 13 TASIS students spent a week at EcoVisio in Riscova, Moldova, where they learned about sustainable development and organic agriculture, designed and constructed equipment for a new community park, and forged lasting connections with members of the local community. Mark Chevalier and Diana Khassanova '19 worked together to create a video recap of the initial trip.
