A total of 90 friends of TASIS—including alumni ranging from the 1960s to recent graduates (with an especially large showing from the classes of ’82 and ’83), former faculty members, former Summer Programs staff, and a few TASIS England alumni—gathered in LA for the March 24 All-Class Reunion on the heels of a big rainstorm. The team that flew in from TASIS, Bill Eichner and Yvonne Procyk, might even claim to have brought back the sun!
The Garden Court at the Huntington Library, Art Galleries, and Botanical Gardens was a beautiful venue appreciated by all of the guests, some of whom were able to take advantage of the opportunity to visit the gardens during the day for the special event price for guests.
Delicious food and drinks—including the Bourbon Old Fashioned, Mrs. Fleming's signature cocktail—and a band called Hedgehog Swing, which supplied background music during the evening, contributed to the success of this reunion. Michele Josue '97 and her team of friends and helpers created a lovely atmosphere with clever lighting and many other TASIS touches—she knows how to throw a great party!
At the end of a fun evening, Tania Shetabi Nordstrom '82 spontaneously offered to host the next LA reunion at her home. Stay tuned for news!
