The average score posted by the 50 TASIS students who earned an IB Diploma was 32.2—2.6 points above the 2019 worldwide average.
Twenty-five AP Scholars and a school "success" rate of 89 percent are among the highlights from the 2019 Advanced Placement exams. New TASIS videos Last month we offered a closer look at the TASIS campus, Fine Arts Program, and dorm life, and now we are pleased to share two excellent new videos created by Milo Zanecchia '08. Assistant Athletic Director Alex Zanecchia and several coaches and student athletes discuss the TASIS Athletics Program, which encompasses competitive varsity programs, recreational activities, and community-building events—all with the aim of helping students become increasingly active, develop stronger leadership skills, and collaborate more effectively with peers from all over the world. Executive Chef Fabio Marrone and the TASIS Dining Services team are proud that the School has earned the Swiss Fourchette Verte label—signifying that each meal served is healthy and well-balanced—and that the kitchen is able to accommodate any dietary restrictions students have. TASIS students then discuss a few of the ways in which the community comes together over food. Alex Secilmis '19 retook the reins at the start of session two and produced Students in the TASIS Summer Program's Academic Writing course penned short essays about their weekend trips to Venice, Verona, Munich, and more. TASIS alumni from the classes of 1984, 1993–1994, 1999, and 2009 have found time to gather in both Lugano and the United States this summer, and alumni and friends from five decades met in Athens last weekend to reminisce about TASIS Hellenic.
